MailAuth Inspector

Help

Setup steps, dashboard access, optional Google integrations, and common troubleshooting guidance.

Getting started

  1. Install the extension in Chrome.
  2. Open Gmail and refresh the tab after installation.
  3. Open a thread and inspect the message header area for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC badges.
  4. Use the extension options page to configure dashboard settings and optional workflows.

Opening the dashboard

  1. Open chrome://extensions.
  2. Select the MailAuth Inspector extension card.
  3. Choose Details.
  4. Click Extension options.

Optional Google Sheets workflow

If you enable lead capture and Sheets sync, the extension can queue rows locally and append them to a Google Sheet you authorize. Stored row fields can include timestamps, Gmail thread and message identifiers, sender details, auth results, spoof-risk scoring, suggested actions, and workflow status.

Billing and Pro features

Pro upgrade flows use secure online billing and checkout pages. The extension can store billing status locally and refresh access to paid features when needed.

Troubleshooting

  • Refresh Gmail after first installing or updating the extension.
  • If badges do not appear, open a different thread and return to the original message.
  • If Google Sheets actions fail, verify account permissions and the chosen spreadsheet destination.
  • If billing status looks stale, refresh it from the dashboard after returning from checkout.
